An investigation has been launched after a man died whilst in police custody.
Greater Manchester Police detained a 57-year-old on Sunday morning (12 May) following reports of a disturbance at an address on Argyll Road, Cheadle, Stockport.
The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) said he was taken to a police station but fell ill shortly afterwards. He was given medical aid and taken to hospital, where he died around two hours after being arrested.
An investigation is being carried out into the full circumstances.
