It has been confirmed that a man who died in a flat in Middleton was poisoned by carbon monoxide.
At around 2.45pm on 14 September, officers received reports that a man had died at a flat on Wood Street in Middleton.
Emergency services attended and discovered the body of a 58-year-old man.
A Home Office post mortem was conducted and toxicology reports confirmed he had died from carbon monoxide poisoning.
The man lived in a flat above Shop Locally, a former pub, and police are keen to speak to anyone who was in the shop or the area that noticed anything unusual.
