A man has been charged with murder after an elderly man was found dead at a property in Huddersfield.
Police discovered the body of 79-year-old John Utley at an address on Royds Avenue in the Paddock area on Wednesday, 28 June.
Reports say he died as a result of serious head injuries.
55-year-old Wayne Thornton was arrested in connection with the incident and has now been charged with murder.
He made his first appearance at Kirklees Magistrates Court today, 30 June.
