A man has been charged after a woman was robbed in Oldham Town Centre.
On Wednesday the 8th of February 2017, the 79-year-old victim was out with friends when she was forced to the floor and had her handbag stolen.
She suffered bruising to her face, left arm, leg and a broken scapula, which she received hospital treatment for and is recovering well.
Darren Lees of no fixed address has been charged with robbery, fraud, shoplifting and criminal damage. He has been remanded into custody and appeared at Tameside Magistrates’ Court this morning.
