A man has been arrested after a woman was raped in Cheadle.
Shortly before 1.40am on Monday the 23rd of January 2017, police were called to reports that a 32-year-old woman had been raped in a graveyard on High Street in Cheadle, Manchester, sometime between 12.10am and 12.25am.
A 20-year-old man has now been arrested on suspicion of rape and remains in custody for questioning.
Detective Inspector Julia Bowden, of GMP’s Stockport Borough, said: “This has been a fast-moving investigation and we have been able to make significant progress soon after the incident was reported.
