Police in Huddersfield have launched a month-long operation in conjunction with Safer Kirklees and local retailers targeting potential thieves.
The operation will run between 28 November and 31 December and will see increased patrols during trading hours with a focus on theft from a person, distraction thefts and crime prevention.
West Yorkshire Police say these “types of incidents leave victims frightened and upset and sometimes not feeling they can go out; leaving them feeling unsafe during this busy period.”
