A Guildford man has been jailed for six years after police recovered around a kilo of cocaine, 13 kilograms of cannabis and large amounts of cash following a vehicle stop.
A Guildford drug dealer has been jailed after police recovered a large quantity of drugs and cash following a vehicle stop in Surrey.
Robert Dorado, 50, from Guildford, was stopped by officers while driving a black Alfa Romeo on the A245 near Painshill last September.
Police said Dorado refused to get out of the car, forcing officers to smash a window and order him to show his hands.
Inside the vehicle, officers found bags of Class A drugs on the back seat, along with a bag containing around £20,000 in cash.
Dorado was arrested at the scene.
A subsequent search of his home uncovered further evidence, including a safe containing cash, around one kilogram of cocaine and approximately 13 kilograms of cannabis.
Surrey Police said around £90,000 in cash was recovered during the investigation.
Dorado pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, possession with intent to supply Class B drugs and possession of criminal property.
At Guildford Crown Court on Wednesday 9 September, he was sentenced to six years in prison.
The individual sentences included six years for possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, nine months for possession with intent to supply Class B drugs and 18 months for possession of criminal property, with the terms to run concurrently.
Detective Constable Harry Robberts, from Surrey Police’s Serious and Organised Crime Unit, said the force would continue targeting those involved in the supply of illegal drugs.
