A girl has been left with significant facial injuries after a being hit by a car in Leigh.
At around 8.50pm on Saturday 4th March police were called to reports of a collision involving a white Skoda Rapid and a 12 year old girl on Leigh Road at the junction of Prescott Street.
Emergency services attended the scene and the girl was taken to hospital where she remains in a stable but serious condition.
Police Constable Dennis Delve of GMP’s Road Policing Unit, said “I’d like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who has dash cam footage.
Like any investigation, we are piecing together information to establish the full circumstances so any assistance from the public would be extremely helpful.”
