On Tuesday evening fire fighters were called to rescue a man trapped in some metal railings. The incident took place on Borsdane Avenue in Hindley, at approximately 10pm.
Fire fighter Steven Hull said “The man was found in an unusual position trapped in the metal railings on his knees. He was wearing a High Visibility vest like a builder, he looked like he was trying to fix something. We believe he had been drinking.”
The man who has not been named is thought to be in his mid-forties and lived nearby, he suffered some grazing but was not seriously hurt.
