An elderly shop worker was assaulted and robbed in Dewsbury.
The incident took place at commercial premises on Leeds Road yesterday morning, 19 June.
At around 8.35am the suspect entered Bennett Street Stores and approached a woman working behind the counter.
The male suspect asked to buy a packet of cigarettes and while the woman placed the cigarettes on the counter, the suspect walked behind the serving area and pushed the woman to the ground.
The suspect then stole the cigarettes and is believed to have lifted a small quantity of money from the till, before making off on foot.
The victim, a 91-year-old woman, sustained minor injuries in the incident and received hospital treatment.
