An elderly man has died following a collision in the Trafford area of Manchester.
Shortly after 8.00pm on Tuesday 16 January, police were called to reports of a collision involving an Audi A2 and a pedestrian on Chester Road.
The pedestrian, a 75-year-old man from Stretford, suffered fatal injuries and was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver remained at the scene to speak with officers and was treated by paramedics for shock.
Chester Road was closed for six hours while investigation work was carried out.
No arrests have been made.
