A man has been arrested following an armed siege in Greater Manchester.
Reports say armed officers were engaged in a stand-off with a gunman which lasted more than eight hours in Stockport.
Police were called to a home on Heath Road in Shaw Heath yesterday, 18 June, following reports of a man with a gun.
Residents were evacuated from their homes and a large cordon was put in place at around 7pm as armed officers and specialist negotiators descended on the scene.
Police eventually arrested a 48-year-old man at 3.30am.
He was detained on suspicion of firearms offences and making threats to kill.
