A man has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving following a collision involving a police car in Todmorden.
At 2.50am Saturday morning (12/11) a marked police car was on routine patrol in Halifax Road when a Vauxhall Corsa travelling the other way crossed into the opposite carriageway and collided head on with the police vehicle.
The two male officers, from the local neighbourhood patrol team, were taken to hospital and treated for whiplash type injuries before returning to duty till the end of their night shift.
The driver of the Corsa, a 42-year-old man, from Todmorden, was arrested at the scene of suspicion of drink-driving.
