A man has been charged after a police van was damaged during World Cup celebrations in Manchester city centre.
At around 5.10pm on Saturday 7 July 2018, while police were on Peter Street following England’s quarter final fixture, damage was caused to the emergency lighting on a stationary marked police van.
Leon Allen, 23, of no fixed abode, has been charged with criminal damage.
He has been bailed and will appear at Manchester Magistrates' Court on Tuesday 7 August.
