A Chadderton man who sexually assaulted two teenage girls has been jailed.
Shekh Mohammed Alfu Miah, 49, of Epping Close, was sentenced at Minshull Street Crown Court after a jury found him guilty of three counts of sexual assault by touching.
The court heard how Miah sexually assaulted a young woman on two separate occasions in Tameside, including once in his car, in the summer of 2016.
Around the same time that year he also sexually assaulted another teenager, again in his car in Tameside.
He was sentenced to two years and four months in prison and will also be registered as a sex offender for 10 years.
Detective Constable Peter Goddard, from GMP’s Tameside Borough, said: “Miah preyed on these innocent teenagers and acted in an utterly deplorable way.
“Throughout this investigation and trial he has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing, causing the victims further upset.
“I would like to commend the bravery of the victims, and it is thanks to them that Miah will face the consequences of his actions.”
