Police have released CCTV images of two men they want to speak to after a teenager was assaulted in Crumpsall.
At around 3pm on Monday 17 October, a 15-year-old and his friend were walking along Crescent Road, towards the junction with Moss Bank.
Two men approached the victim and his friend from behind and hit him several times to the head before he fell to the floor.
The men then ran along Crescent Road but one of them turned around and took the victim’s phone, which had fallen out of his pocket during the attack.
Both the men got into a minivan, which was parked on Moss Bank and is described as silver or grey coloured with around eight seats.
The minivan was driven along Moss Bank, away from Crescent Road, before it turned left and went out of sight.
Police Constable Gary McKendrick of GMP’s City of Manchester Team, said: “Fortunately, the victim didn’t suffer any serious injury but he has been left traumatised by the attack."
