New research has found that Britain’s children are demanding jobs that tackle social issues.
The report, commissioned by Engineering UK, claims 50 per cent of children in Yorkshire & the Humber say ‘being part of something to be proud of’ is one of the most important things about their future career and almost half of children surveyed say they already know what their dream job would be.
The research has been released for Tomorrow’s Engineers Week, which starts today, 6 November, and aims to raise awareness of engineering careers that tackle the issues young people care about.
