A strategy has been outlined to make Bradford the UK’s ‘Capital of Cycling’.
The plan, called ‘Keeping the Wheels Spinning’, is due to last for ten years and has been drawn up by Bradford’s cycle forum B-Spoke, the Bradford Cycle Campaign and other local cycling charities and organisations.
It is hoped the initiative will see a new velodrome being developed and a more extensive cycle path network being constructed.
The strategy aims to have the spending per head on cycling in the district raised from the current level of £1.80 to £10 by 2026.
