Six ‘rising stars’ in practice nursing across Bradford District and Craven have been recognised for the outstanding care they provide at the regional 2018 General Practice Nursing Awards (GPN Awards).
The GPN Awards are held by NHS England to recognise the skills, expertise and dedication of practice nurses and support workers across Yorkshire and the Humber.
Roxanna Rashid, practice nurse at Kensington Street Medical Practice in Bradford, won the People’s Choice Award; a category that asked patients, carers and members of the public to nominate nurses who had made a real impact on their or their loved ones’ health and who had provided compassionate care.
Michelle Turner, director of nursing NHS Bradford District and Craven CCGs said: “I’d like to offer my congratulations to all our winners and finalists in the 2018 GPN Awards.
“Practice nurses play an invaluable role in delivering high quality patient care and I’m delighted to see their dedication, skills and compassion for the local communities they serve recognised.
“We are incredibly lucky across our districts to have such talented people working hard for patients and I’d like to thank every member of our practice nursing teams for all they do in caring for the people of Bradford District and Craven.”
