A 23 year old Bradford man has been jailed for six months after a high speed Police chase in which he drove on the wrong side of the road, forced pedestrians to dive for safety and jumped from the vehicle while it was still moving not caring where it would end up.
Bradford Crown Court was told that Amer Iqbal of Frizinghall Road, Bradford, had fled from the Police because he feared the car he was driving was stolen.
Iqbal pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, and having no insurance or licence and also admitted possession of £5 worth of cannabis.
Iqbal was not only jailed for six months but also banned from driving for 15 months and must take an extended test if he wants to obtain a driving licence.
