A candidate in Bradford’s Local Council elections was treated at the BRI this morning after being reportedly caught up in a street disturbance.
The Liberal Democrats' City ward candidate, Tariq Mahmood, was treated for minor injuries after the incident in Gladstone Street, Bradford Moor, just before 1am.
A police spokesman said: "We were called to a report of a disturbance at 12.55am, but the incident had passed when officers attended. No complaints were made about an assault."
