Bradford City of Sanctuary is celebrating its 10th anniversary on Friday 12 October.
Bradford City of Sanctuary was officially launched in October 2008, with a vision to see the culture of hospitality extended to include those seeking sanctuary in the city.
The important milestone will be marked with an evening of poetry, live music, food and dancing. The focus of the event, which will be opened by the Lord Mayor of Bradford, will be to celebrate the progress made in the past decade in extending Bradford’s welcome and hospitality as a city to refugees and asylum seekers.
The award-winning poet Ian Duhig will feature as a special guest at the celebration in Kala Sangam tomorrow (12 October).
