A burglar has been sentenced after he was caught sleeping in the flat he had broken into.
Ateeq Rehman, 38, of Sydenham Place, entered the Duckworth Lane flat on 10 April and stole electrical items and jewellery to the value of £3,350.
Bradford Crown Court heard how Rehman has a “significant drug habit” and a terrible record.
The person living in the flat had been in the process of moving out and had left it empty for a couple of days.
Rehman received an eight month sentence, suspended for two years, and must carry out 35 days of rehabilitation activities.
