The North East Counter Terrorism Unit has charged a 30 year old man from Batley with terrorist offences.
Gulam Meyar-Ul Idnan Hussain was arrested on Wednesday November 2, and a warrant of further detention was granted on Friday November 4.
The arrest was pre-planned as part of an intelligence led investigation.
He was charged yesterday evening (November 7, 2016) with 2 offences contrary to Section 5 of the Terrorism Act 2006.
He remains in custody to appear at Westminster Magistrates today.
