Detectives investigating the attempted murder of a man in the Port Dundas area of Glasgow are appealing for two potential eye witnesses to come forward.
On Thursday 18th May at around 12:10am a 37 year old man was attacked in his car on Craighall Road near to Dobbie’s Loan at the slip road to the M8.
The victim had been driving his dark blue Skoda Octavia south on Saracen Street when two cars began to pursue him at speed, forcing him to stop at the slip road where one of the occupants of the vehicles attacked him, with what is believed to have been a bladed weapon.
Emergency services were called and the victim was taken to hospital for treatment to serious facial wounds. He remains in hospital were medical staff describe his condition as stable.
Two vehicles were recovered shortly after the incident, both of which had been set on fire. It is still to be established whether they are linked to the incident.
At the time of the attack, it is understood that two people were seen standing at the traffic lights waiting to cross where Craighall Road meets the slip road onto the M8. Detectives are asking for the two people to get in touch.
