A 40-year-old man who died after being reportedly seriously assaulted in Sheffield has been named as Ahmed Sayeed Adan
Mr Adan, from the Burngreave area of Sheffield, was standing outside Emins Supermarket in Spital Hill, Sheffield, at around 3.45am on Sunday 20 November, when it is reported he was assaulted.
He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he died on Tuesday 29 November.
A forensic post-mortem examination concluded that Mr Adan died as a result of head injuries.
Mr Adan’s family has asked for privacy during this difficult time.
It is believed that Mr Adan may have been approached outside the store and detectives are keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the area at the time.
