An armed thief targeted a pregnant woman during an attempted robbery at a shop in Clayton.
At 2.45pm on Wednesday 30 August, police were called to reports of an armed robbery at a store on Clayton Street.
The robber entered the store and threated a pregnant shop worker with a handgun and demanded money.
The offender proceeded to threaten two customers who were also in the shop, but the member of staff refused his demands and told him she was calling the police.
The man then fled empty handed in the direction of John Heywood Street.
No-one was injured in the incident.
