An armed robber targeted the same shop in Manchester twice.
The robberies took place at Mellalieu Food & Wines on Higher Wood Street, Middleton on Sunday 3 February and Tuesday 5 February.
A man entered the shop brandishing a suspected gun on both occasions. He threatened staff members and demanded money from the till.
On the first occasion the offender fled on foot with a quantity of stolen cash but the second time around he left empty handed after being told there was no money in the till by a member of staff.
No-one was injured in either incident.
The offender is described as white, approximately 6ft tall and of slim build. On both occasions he was wearing a face covering with a navy-blue jacket and blue jogging bottoms.
