Greater Manchester Police are appealing for information following a fail-to-stop collision in Manchester that left a cyclist with head injuries.

Officers were called to Platt Lane, near the junction with Rosford Avenue, Fallowfield shortly after 11:20pm on Saturday 19 May.

A male cyclist collided with a white motor vehicle that was travelling towards Wilmslow Road.

He was taken to hospital with serious injuries to his head. He has now been discharged and is at home recovering.

Police Constable Lewis Harratt of GMP’s Road Policing Unit, said: “We are following a number of lines of enquiry to trace the driver of the car but need the public to come forward with information to assist us.

“If you have any information, or dash cam footage of a car being driven in that area from Princess Road direction along Platt Lane, please get in contact with the police. We need the public’s help to trace the driver.”
