Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in Hemsworth.
The incident happened at around 6:37pm on Saturday the 25th of March on Market Street.
A white Ford Transit van was travelling north along Market Street when it approached the traffic lights at the junction with Barnsley Road.
The van collided with a pedestrian who was at the traffic lights.
A 29-year-old male suffered serious injuries as a result of the collision and was taken to Pinderfields Hospital.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or has any information is told to contact the police via 101.
