Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman died following a collision with a bus in Salford.
Shortly after 6:10pm on Wednesday 20 July 2016, police were called to East Lancashire Road, Swinton to reports of a collision between a woman and a bus.
Officers attended and found a woman believed to be in her 70’s with very serious injuries before she was taken to hospital where she was sadly pronounced dead at around 7:40pm.
Police Constable Dermot Murray from the GMP Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “This is a tragic incident where a woman has sadly lost her life and we are appealing for anybody with information to come forward.
“The investigation is in the early stages and we are currently working to provide the woman’s family with support from specially trained officers.”
