Greater Manchester Police are appealing for information after a disturbance outside a pub in Edgeley.
At around 8.25pm on Friday 17 November, police were called to reports of windows being smashed at a pub on Castle Street.
A large group of youths had approached the pub carrying weapons.
People in the pub then came outside and attempted to encourage the group to disperse from the area.
During this, a man had fallen to the floor and was then assaulted by several teenagers.
He was taken to hospital for treatment for a head injury.
