Bradford Council has been successful in a joint bid through West Yorkshire Combined Authority for funding towards a cleaner bus network.
The Government’s Clean Bus Technology Fund will award £4.1 million towards the initiative.
The network of buses in Bradford will see 62 buses retrofitted helping to reduce Nitrogen Dioxide emissions specifically around Bradford Inner Ring Road.
Back in 2014, Bradford Council was successful in a similar bid seeing 25 commercial buses retrofitted.
