An 81-year-old man has died after a road traffic collision in Wakefield.
Police are appealing for witnesses following the collision in Horbury.
The incident occurred around 7.45pm on Friday evening, 5 May, on Westfield Road near to the junction of Victoria Street, when a purple Chrysler PT Cruiser collided with a pedestrian.
The Chrysler was travelling in the direction of Ossett.
The pedestrian, an 81-year-old man, was taken to hospital but sadly died as a result of his injuries.
The driver of the Chrysler did remain at the scene.
A police spokesperson said that their enquiries are on-going and they would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident.
