50 people have been arrested already this December for drink or drug driving in West Yorkshire.
The latest statistics, which go up to Friday 8 December, show that 58 per cent of those arrests resulted in someone being charged. 14 per cent of those charged were over the age of 65.
Throughout December, West Yorkshire Police is promoting the Not the Usual Suspects campaign, which seeks to remind people that anyone could be a drink driver.
