Sunrise Radio is looking for a freelance digital reporter to help research, write and prepare engaging content for the Sunrise Radio website and digital platforms.

This is a flexible, remote opportunity suited to someone with strong writing skills, good news judgement and an interest in current affairs, entertainment and South Asian culture.

There are no fixed working hours, and assignments can be completed at times that suit the contributor, subject to agreed editorial deadlines.

Previous journalism, media or digital publishing experience would be useful, although it is not essential.

We are also happy to hear from journalism or media students, recent graduates and strong writers looking to build further practical experience.

This opportunity is suitable for people who are confident approaching prospective clients, developing relationships and identifying businesses that could benefit from advertising with Sunrise Radio.

Previous media or advertising sales experience would be useful, although relevant sales experience from other sectors will also be considered.

Working arrangements, commission rates, targets and any applicable bonus commission will be agreed separately with successful applicants.

Opportunities may be suitable for students undertaking a course-related placement, work experience module or other structured learning programme. Availability will depend on our current requirements and the nature of the course or placement.

Any placement would be considered individually and, where applicable, arranged in conjunction with the relevant educational institution and its placement requirements.
