Federer taking clay season easy after winning Miami Open

Roger Federer has declared that he is going to limit his participation at clay court events, following his win over Rafael Nadal at the Miami Open on Sunday (02.04.2017).

The 35-year-old Swiss was dogged by a knee injury last season and is expected to take nearly two months of rest before his next competitive match, so that he can prepare for the French Open at the end of May.

He won the match in straight sets against his Spanish rival, 6-3 6-4.
