Diego Costa to leave Chelsea for Atletico

Chelsea have agreed a deal that will see Diego Costa leave London for Atletico Madrid.

The 28-year-old is set to join the Spanish club in January, though the transfer is still subject to the agreement of personal terms and a medical.

The Spaniard left Atletico to join Chelsea in 2014 for a price in the region of £32m.

He scored 58 goals in 120 appearances for the Blues, including 20 in the Premier League last season as Chelsea won the title.

Costa has not made an appearance for Chelsea this season and has been looking for the door since the relationship between player and club soured following a suspected attempt to leave for China and allegations of disputes with backroom staff last season.
