Six children were killed when the vehicle they were travelling in hit a tree and fell into a pond in India.
The incident took place in Bihar’s Araria district as the occupants of the SUV were returning to Doriya village after attending a marriage ceremony.
Two other children are believed to have been injured in the crash.
A police official said the driver lost control of the vehicle when attempting to avoid children crossing the road.
