Authorities in India said an alleged Maoist has been killed in an encounter in Chhattisgarh state.
The Times of India reports the incident took place in Bijapur district after security forces took action on information received about militants attempting to damage a road with a landmine blast.
Following an exchange of gun fire security personnel recovered 25 improvised explosive devices.
