Man allegedly shoots family over marriage proposal in Pakistan

A man allegedly killed his family members in Pakistan because they agreed a marriage proposal against his will.

Asif Shah, a resident of Maari village in Attock, is accused of shooting dead his wife and two daughters, as well as injuring his 15-year-old son.

It is suspected Shah carried out the attack because the family agreed for their eldest daughter to marry a suitor he did not agree with.

Police have said they have begun gathering evidence and are searching for the suspect, who fled the scene.
