Indian man arrested after body found in suitcase

A man has been arrested in India after a body was found in a suitcase.

It has been alleged that Avidesh Sakya, 27, killed a seven-year-old boy and hid his body in the case for 37 days.

Police in Delhi made the discovery after neighbours complained of a foul smell.

The boy, Ashish Saini, had been missing since 7 January. It has been reported that the suspect had been renting the property from the victim’s parents.

Officials said Mr Sakya kidnapped the boy for ransom but killed him to cover up the crime.
