British Airways flies to Pakistan for first time in 11 years

A British Airways flight landed in Islamabad – the first time the carrier has flown to Pakistan in 11 years.

The airline suspended flights to the country in September 2008 in the wake of the Mariott Hotel bombing in the capital.

The Boeing 787 departed Heathrow and touched down at Islamabad International Airport, with passengers welcomed by an entourage of government officials.
