Ranveer Singh’s ’83 based on India’s epic cricket World Cup win to release on August 30, 2019

    It is official! Ranveer Singh starrer ’83, based on India’s epic win at the cricket world cup, will release next year on August 30.

    It is one of the most anticipated films, with Ranveer playing the role of Indian cricketing legend Kapil Dev.

    India defeated the West Indies in the final of the 1983 World Cup to bring home the trophy. It is one of the greatest underdog stories in the world of Indian sports. The film was announced a few months back in the presence of members from the 1983 team like Kapil Dev, Mohinder Amarnath and Krishnamachari Srikanth. It is directed by Kabir Khan.
