Tick Awareness Month

Chris Packham is launching Tick Awareness Month this May in a bid to encourage pet owners to be more aware of ticks and the potential risk of disease transmission. The TV presenter and naturalist who travels regularly to France with his dogs, has seen at first hand the devastating impact on people and pets of tick-borne diseases such as Lyme Disease and Canine Babesiosis. He is joining forces with vet Natalie Morris to back calls for the Government to reinstate compulsory tick treatment for all dogs travelling outside of the UK. This will reduce the risks of importing new and potentially fatal tick-borne disease. Natalie is here to explain more....
