Newsroom Special - One Kind Thing campaign

Perhaps the simplest gift with the most profound impact is that of kindness. It costs nothing, but can have a powerful social effect. But in our busy, complicated, modern world are we struggling to be as kind as we'd like?

According to the latest research by the British Red Cross three in four Britons (74%) believe we can all be kinder to each other. What’s more, the overwhelming majority (97%) agree the world would be a better place if we all did one kind thing each day.

Alongside the survey, the British Red Cross is launching its One Kind Thing campaign encouraging everyone to do something kind to support its vital work.

To tell us more about the campaign we were joined by Clinical Psychologist Dr Sarah Davidson from the British Red Cross.
