The festive period can include many social events for us all, often involving alcohol. Cocktails at parties, a glass of wine at lunch and then after work more Christmas drinks - it’s easy to see how one drink quickly becomes three.
The majority (87%) of those surveyed said they wouldn’t be more likely to drink and drive during the festive season, but a quarter (25%) admitted they have gotten into a car knowing the driver had had more than the legal limit. One in 20 (4%) drivers even admit they would get behind the wheel themselves after four or more drinks.
Former racing driver and television presenter Vicki Butler-Henderson joined us on the line on the last Friday before Christmas, which has come to be known as 'Mad Friday', to tell us about the dangers of driving over the limit.
