Newsroom Special - Can the hospitality industry cope with Brexit?

4 minutes | Thursday, 21 June 2018

With Brexit day fast approaching, business leaders across the UK are preparing for some stark changes come March 2019. There are fears that the UK hospitality industry could face significant staff shortages if a mass-exodus of kitchen, hotel and catering staff is borne out.

A new YouGov poll for Planday revealed that just over one in 10 workers (11%) in British restaurants, bars and hotels are thinking about leaving the UK as a result of Brexit.

Joining us to discuss the findings and the impacts to hospitality in Britain post-Brexit, is Chief Executive of the Institute of Hospitality Peter Ducker and Chief Commercial Officer of Planday, John Coldicutt.
