Newsroom Special - Bowel Cancer UK's 'Step up for 30' exercise campaign

5 minutes | Tuesday, 23 April 2019

Bowel Cancer UK is launching ‘Step up for 30’, challenging the UK to get active and take part in physical activity for 30 minutes every day, significantly reducing the risk of diagnosis.

Throughout April, Bowel Cancer Awareness Month continues to emphasise the 41,800 new cases of bowel cancer diagnosed every year, making it the 4th most common cancer in the UK. With that in mind, the charity is encouraging people to get ready for ‘Step up for 30’, the initiative which will run through the month of June.

To tell us more about the campaign we were joined by Luke Squires, Director of Fundraising at Bowel Cancer UK.
