Newsroom Special - World Vegan Month
Newsroom Specials
Wednesday, 7 November 2018 - 6 minutes
1 November heralded World Vegan Day and we are now in an entire World Vegan Month.
New research suggests that while there may be some way to go in terms of education for some, half (50%) of the British public would consider becoming vegan at some point in their lives. So what’s holding them back?
21% of Brits, surveyed by The Vegan Society, said they would go vegan if they were convinced it would end animal cruelty or would help them lead a healthier life. A further 20% saying the same if convinced it would save the planet.
In the studio to discuss the research and the benefits that can come with adopting a vegan lifestyle is vegan chef Day Radley and Dominika Piasecka from The Vegan Society.
